Post The Agribusiness Specialist will undertake the following tasks: Review past IAMWARM project and on-going programmes on Agri. Business at Agricultural Marketing Department (AGM) and enterprise development to benchmark practices and identify approaches to strengthen the Farmers Producers Organisations (FPO). The Agri. Business Specialist will have a dual role of supporting the Project Head IAMP and implement activities envisaged in detailed Master Degree in Project Report (DPR) with support of State Agriculture with MBA and Agri. Draft and edit project documents (in English) while coordinating and following up with AGM counterparts and World Bank consultants to proactively support project design and/or execution as per the direction from Project Head. Minimum Requirements Working knowledge of English and the skill of Computer MS Office are essential.
Master Degree in Social Work/MBA or similar field with 15 years experience in capacity building CSO/NGO etc. with high skills.
Social Development Specialist
Over all in charge of Social Development activities of the Project which includes: Assisting in the implementation of Participatory Irrigation Management (PIM) in the Project. Assisting in the formation of Farmers Organizations (FOs) and providing training and capacity building activities to them. Assisting in implementation of Social Safe Guard measures in the project and in particular ensuring gender justice. In charge of overall monitoring of capacity building activities in respect of PIM activities. Assisting in evaluation of the performance of the Water Users Associations’ (WUA’s) by creating necessary indicators and in the evaluation process Assisting in the preparation of training modules for the workshops, Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials for the Farmers Organisations etc., To undertake field visits to assist the field officers provide necessary assistance for the success of the programmes. Assisting in the preparation of sustainable PIM model in the WRD.
Master Degree in Environmental Engineering with 5 years experience
Assessing/screening environment impacts of the project in each sub basin. Monitoring the Implementation of the project with reference to the Environmental aspects, due to construction activities by WRD, intervention by all line departments in line with the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs). Formulating guidelines, models of training and awareness creation on Environmental aspects. Generating monthly and six monthly reports on Environmental impact in each sub basin and sharing with World Bank, Govt. etc. Co-ordinating with implementing agencies and Environmental consultants in the preparation of Environmental ATLAS for each sub basin.
Master Degree in Engineering/Geology/ Geography with at least 5 years hands on experience on developing GIS and handling GIS software application.
The consultant will be responsible for Day-today development and support on project Sub Basin Geospatial applications, platforms and data services. Facilitating Geo-tagging of all Departmental interventions. He or she will provide engineering know-how to support data science and remote-sensing activities (using Google Earth Engine) include land cover classification, Cropping Area in each sub basin. Develop and publish Sub basin Maps, Atlases and assist with GIS interfacing of the Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) information. He or she will work alongside remote-sensing specialist, researchers and statisticians to develop solutions that apply remote sensing to high-resolution satellite imagery.
Master Degree in Mass Communication / MBA with related 5 years experience and high competency in English & Tamil
B.E or B.Tech in I.T. or M.C.A with 5 years experience in the related field.
Typist with Computer knowledge and shorthand
Minimum general educational qualification, higher grade in Typewriting both English/Tamil and Lower grade in Shorthand English, DCA or its equivalent.
Data Entry Operator
Any Degree or Diploma with Computer knowledge and knowledge of Typing in English and Tamil is preferable
Support for design implementation and documentation of the Project communication strategy, and Explore multiple media options for communications (Mass Media, Web, etc.) and develop partnership with institution to improve project awareness and communications.
Handling various Software’s and trained in Hardware components and capacity to train officials and stake holders involved in the Project and provide/oversee any programming services required to MDPU.
Provide steno- graphing and typing support to MDPU
Providing data entry support for improved information management and communications to facilitate work of MDPU
