New Investigators Win Prizes at 11th International ISSX Meeting Yesterday (0 Comments) Share | A traditional component of ISSX meetings is the Poster Awards Competition that provides a forum for new investigators to show their work and compete for prizes. Any predoctoral or postdoctoral fellow members of the Society may submit an abstract into the competition.
A Poster Awards Committee is formed for each meeting in order to judge abstracts and posters entered into the competition and to identify award recipients. We strive to ensure that the committee include members representing both academia and industry and is geographically diverse. Finalists are selected based upon scoring of abstracts. First, second and third place award recipients are determined based upon significance of research problem; experimental approach; soundness of conclusions; and clarity of presentation. The Poster Awards Committee additionally conducts interviews with finalist authors at a poster session during the meeting: We proudly announce the winners of the 11th International ISSX Meeting Poster Awards Competition: Predoctoral Awards
