MOJE RAMOS-AQUINO, FPM Moje is a seasoned human resource and organization development practitioner. She is a Fellow in Personnel Management (FPM). She has more than thirty years experience in the human resources and organization development field. From labor relations, to personnel administration to training and development to organization development. She is past president of the Philippine Society for Training & Development (PSTD, 1995 & 1996) and the Asia-Pacific Regional Training & Development Organization (ARTDO, 1995-96). She chaired the ARTDO International Convention '96. She was a member of the Philippine Delegation to the APEC Experts Meeting on HRD. She is currently a member of the Accreditation Council (2nd term) and was formerly vice president of the Society of Fellows and is active with the Personnel Management Association of the Philippines and writes a column, Favorite Books for the PMAP Monthly Newsletter. In 2001, the PMAP Publications Committee she chaired was the Outstanding Committee of the Year. Currently she is chairman of the Training Committee of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) and is a consultant of the International Labor Organization on various projects. She represented ECOP at the ILO Conference on Migrant Workers (Bangkok, Thailand) and Arbitration Workshop (Turin, Italy). She was president of the PAL TMC and was a member of the Sinulog and Tambuli TMCs. As president (RY 2005-06) of the Rotary Club of Quezon City North, District 3780, her major projects were the training of more than 1,000 public school teachers in elementary and high schools in Quezon City, and the donation of 30 TV and DVD sets and 20 computers, and the awarding of 15 Outstanding Teachers at Tatalon (Diosdado Macapagal) Elementary School for which she received the District 3780 Award for Literacy. Presently, she heads her own consulting outfit, Paradigms & Paradoxes Corporation. She was consultant for the Executive Development Program of the Lopez Group of Companies (2002-2007). She lends her expertise to Cutting Edge Production, First Philippine Industrial Park, Miramar Fish Company, National Livelihood Support Fund, Adamson University, LandBank of the Philippines, Misys Banking Systems International, Monark Group, Religious of the Virgin Mary, VCP Trading International, Westco Electrical & Equipment Corporation, First Philippine Holdings Corporation, DevCo Philippines, a Equipment, Directories Sales & Services Corporation, Focus Global among others. She is Mapa (Manila East) High School Alumni Association’s 2008 Blue Falcon Awardee for outstanding performance in management consulting. She writes a weekly entrepreneurship column, Learning & Innovation, for The Manila Times business section and used to write a similar column, Recipes for Learning, for the Business/People at Work Section of the Phil. Daily Inquirer. She also writes a blog (Urban Farmer ) for, the internet portal of TV5. She taught Organization Development, Management, Marketing and Economics subjects at San Beda College. She worked with Bataan Pulp & Paper Mills Inc. as Personnel Manager and at Resins Inc. as Personnel Supervisor. She had a two-year stint at Radio Veritas as producer and host of two interview-formatted programs, Women Today and Sagip Buhay, Sagip Dangal). She has attended and made presentations at various learning sessions and international conferences like Asia-Pacific Career Development Association Conference, Honolulu, Hawaii; ARTDO Conferences in Indonesia, Australia and Malaysia; the Institute of Personnel Management and the Convention on HRD-South Africa; the Malaysian Society for Training & Development, Asean Conference and Trainers Meet Trainers in Kuala Lumpur, the Alforghe International Conference on HRD in Tunisia, the Asia-Pacific Conference & Exhibition on Experiential Learning in Singapore, ASTD 2001 in Orlando, Florida, HRD Japan, Panama Global Network, the International Conference on Experiential Learning in Singapore and 2006, 2007 & 2010 Summit on Globalization of HRD in Taipei, Taiwan. She is a sought after speaker for business, professional and civic organizations like PICPA, various Rotary Clubs, Contractors Association, Mindanao Association for Quality in the Philippines and Association of Trainers in the Tourism Industry. She was a three-year assessor of the Baldrige Business Excellence Award. Likewise, she has had extensive education and training in her areas of expertise. She has a degree in business administration from the University of the East. She is an avid reader of biographies and management books. maintains an eclectic collection of books and publications in her own library at her home/office. She attends ASTD Conference & Exposition in the USA every year. She was an OD Specialist at Philippine Airlines. Among the training and organization development interventions she has done are strategic and tactical planning, management development and succession planning system, team building and management, career development, trainor’s training, PAL Professional Program (life planning, professional image & brand, written and oral communication), among others. She conducts seminars and workshops and renders consultancy services on planning (strategic, balanced scorecard. Blue Ocean Strategy), teambuilding, organization diagnosis (climate survey), self and team management, values & attitudes, management and leadership, communication (written, oral, interactive), customer service, sales training, career planning and development, personality development, trainer development, stress & time management, performance management, sales & marketing management and management of change. She is a farmer at heart. She has turned her gardening hobby to a small business enterprise. She sells organic fertilizer, planting materials (seeds & seedlings) and organic soil. She is working towards having her own farmland in the near future. She is an advocate of natural/organic farming and “No to GMO.” She considers her biggest assets to be her keen sense of humor and inquisitive mind. She draws strength and inspiration from her two sons, Ronjie. Ph.D Civil Engineering (scholar at Tokyo Polytechnic University, Wind Engineering) and Adrian (Vice President at Citibank, NA).
