NRuM STATUS- ICAP PREPARATION

 For the preparation of the ICAP under the Rurban Mission we are planning a multi staged process  Environmental Setting – an environment has to be created for the work in the Rurban clusters without hurting the feelings of the elected representatives of the PRI’s  Preparation of a status report on every sector- Survey of existing resources, analysis the situation, and exploration of the development potential  Delineate the Rurban territory on a GIS platform- mapping of public land, public infrastructure, Built up space etc.  Setting up of functionary Groups- groups for Infrastructure development, Skill development and training, basic needs, Agriculture & allied activities etc.

 Integration of the ICAP with the activities of the Decentralised Planning- The Grama Panchayaths are getting funds every year from the Government this can be integrated with the ICAP and critical gaps can be funded from Rurban.

 Consultation with the stake holders – discussions in the in the Grama Sabha meeting / Grama Panchayath level meetings with all stake holders of the scheme  Bench marking of the desired levels of the components- after the stake holders meeting the agency can mark the desired levels to be achieved on each components and finding the potential agencies/schemes for convergence and find out the gaps that has to be covered  Need identification- The need identification encompasses a wide range of consultations and consolidation of ideas-it starts with the holding of the stake holders meeting for gathering their needs  Investment phasing- Investment phasing of each component over the construction period of 3 years
